We enjoy our transcontinental and pacific flight to the capital of Hawaii, Honolulu, on the island of Oahu.   On arrival we will transfer to our hotel in the Waikiki Beach area of Honolulu.  Dinner follows.  Overnight, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii.  (D)

Day  2    HONOLULU  CITY TOUR

We enjoy breakfast at our hotel  and then board our coach for a half day city tour of Honolulu including lunch.   We make stops at the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor which serves as a memorial to all those who perished when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941.   We continue our tour and visit the "Punch Bowl",   "Diamond Head" and the "Blow Hole".  Free time follows in the afternoon for lounging at the pool or on Waikiki Beach.   Dinner  at 7PM.  Overnight Honolulu,  Oahu, Hawaii.  (B,D)

Day 3   HONOLULU FREE TIME

On the second day of this capital of Hawaii we have free time to enjoy Waikiki Beach, shopping at the world famous Ala Moana Shopping center or  perhaps take a Catamaran sail, do some snorkeling or other activity.   We assemble back at our hotel at 6PM for a short walk to dinner.  Feel free to walk on Waikiki Beach after dinner and enjoy the breeze.   Overnight in Honolulu, Ohao, Hawaii.  (B,D)

Day 4  TO THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII

After breakfast we depart for our  30 minute flight to the Big Island of Hawaii.    On arrival we will transfer to our hotel on Hilo Bay.  Enjoy lunch and shopping in old Hilo then its off for a 20 minute ride to Akaca Falls and a walk in the tropical rain forest.   Time permitting we will shop in the old plantation town of ..........   We will have time to freshen up at our hotel on Hilo Bay before going to dinner.   Overnight, Hilo, The Big Island Hawaii.  (B,D)

Day 5  VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK AND ON TO KONA

We depart after breakfast for Volcanoes National Park.  Enroute we will make a quick stop at the Macadamia Nut Factory (Mac Nut for short) where we will see the processing plant.  We also will have some time to purchase all types of Mac Nuts to take home.   We arrive at Volcanoes National Park at 11AM.  If you have never seen a real active volcano up close this is the place!  We make visits to the steam vents, The Thurston Lava tube (where we will actually walk through) and the Jagger Observatory where we will see the eruption of Kilawue taking place.  Note if the air quality is not at the proper level the National Park Service may close the Observatory.  We depart the Park at about 1PM for lunch in the town of Volcano.  We continue our tour with a short stop at Puuldo Beach to visit the nesting giant sea turtles.  We arrive at Kailualua-Kona and check into our hotel about 5PM.  Overnight Kilua-Kona, The Big Island of Hawaii  (B,L,D)

Day 6  KONA AND FREE TIME.

Today is a lazy day for sitting by the pool or shopping.   We assemble at our hotel for dinner at 6PM.  Overnight Kailua-Kona, The Big Island of Hawaii. (B,D)

Day 7 TO THE KAUAI, THE GARDEN ISLAND

We depart Kona Airport for our flight to Lihue, the main city of Kauai.   We will then transfer to our hotel on Poipu Beach or the Eastern Shore.  Tonight we will all participate in the traditional Luau with native Hawaiian entertainment.   Overnight,   Kauai, The Garden Island.  (B,D)

Day 8 KAUAI WAIMEA CANYON AND THE WESTERN SHORE

We depart after breakfast for Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of Hawaii.  Afterwards we stop at Salt Pond Beach for a picnic lunch and some free time to get our feet wet in the Pacific.  We arrive back at our hotel about 5PM.  Dinner follows. Overnight Kauai, The Garden Island.

Day 9 KAUAI, THE FERN GROTTO THE EASTERN SHORE AND SHOPPING IN KAPPA

After breakfast it's off to Kappa for a one hour cruise up the  Kailua River and a visit to the Fern Grotto.  This is one place you will want to have your cameras ready.  Shopping and lunch follow in Kappa. Then it's back to our hotel for some relaxation.  Dinner follows at 6PM.  Overnight Kauai, The Garden Island.
