DAY 1 FLY TO ZURICH

Enjoy your overnight trans-Atlantic flight to Zurich, Switzerland

DAY 2 ZURICH TO LUGANO SWITZERLAND

Upon arrival in Zurich, we transfer to our deluxe motorcoach for a trip through the Swiss Alps via the Gotthard tunnel to the shores of beautiful Lake Lugano. Afternoon time is free to explore the lower city and its market. Overnight-Lugano, Switzerland

DAY 3 STRESA ITALY AND THE BORROMEAN ISLANDS

After breakfast we travel through the Italian lake country and across beautiful Lake Maggiore to the beautiful lake town of Stresa, Italy. After lunch and check in to our hotel we will visit “Isola Bella” one of the three tiny castle islands of the Borromean family. We return in the late afternoon. Overnight-Stresa, Italy

DAY 4 VERONA AND VENICE

We depart after breakfast for Venice with a short stop at Verona to see its medieval buildings and squares and the balcony where Juliet ushered those famous words “Romeo, Romeo where art though Romeo”. We continue on to Venice arriving late afternoon. Overnight-Venice.

DAY 5 VENICE

This morning we partake in a two hour walking tour of the “City in the Lagoon”. The rest of the day is free time for shopping and perhaps in the evening a gondola ride. Overnight-Venice

DAY 6 THE DOLOMITES AND AUSTRIA

We depart after breakfast through the Dolomites en route to Vienna. We arrive in the early afternoon. Overnight- Vienna.

DAY 7 VIENNA

Today we tour this beautiful city with stops at St. Stephens Cathedral, and Old Town. Lunch and shopping is on your own at one of the largest pedestrian malls in Europe, known as the Karntner Strasse. In the afternoon we will visit the Schonbrunn Palace, which was the home of the kings and queens of the Austro-Hungarian’s empire until its downfall in 1918. In the evening there will be ample time to attend an opera (seasonal) at one of the two major opera houses in this “opera capital”. Overnight-Vienna.

DAY 8 SALZBURG

We depart after breakfast for Salzburg, home of Mozart. Here we will visit the birthplace and museum of this great composer. Time permitting in the afternoon we shall visit the medieval fortress-castle which dominates this city known as “Festung Hohensalzburg.” Overnight-Saltzburg.

DAY 9 SALZBURG TO ZURICH

Today we traverse the Alps passing through Germany for about 30 minutes and then back into the eastern edge of Switzerland through Innsbrook.Sightseeing en route we arrive back in Zurich in the early evening. Overnight- Zurich.

DAY 10 FLY HOME

We transfer to Zurich airport for our westbound trans-Atlantic flight.
