Here's a suggested group tour...
MONTREAL & QUEBEC ESCAPE WEEKEND (4
DAYS, 3 NIGHTS, see Note) DAY 1 EN ROUTE TO MONTREALYou may depart via coach
from gateway east coast cities to Montreal or you may fly to Montreal from select cities. If arriving in
the afternoon, enjoy your free time. If coaching you will arrive in the evening. Overnight
– Montreal.
DAY 2 MONTREAL –THE CHURHES AND THE CITY
INCLUDING THE BIODOME7:30AM-8:30AM Full
American Buffet Breakfast at our hotel. At 9AM
we depart for our all day sightseeing tour of this world-class French speaking city. We drive along the “mount”
and visit one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals, “St Josephs”. For those who find the walk too
difficult, escalators and auto walkways will whisk us to the top of the mountain. Timing permitted we will all attend a mass.
We continue our tour thru the district known as the Vieux Montreal or Old Montreal. Our next stop will be the Notre-Dame
Basilica. The oldest in the city, and one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the entire world! Afterwards,
we partake in lunch at the Eaton Center and enjoy a two hour shopping spree in the “Underground City” .
Our next stop is “Le Biodome”. Here we will actually visit the four
environments on earth, the desert, Antarctica, the tropics etc., all under one roof. We depart the The Biodome about 6PM for
A fabulous buffet dinner. We arrive back at our hotel about 9PM. Overnight- Montreal, CANADA
DAY 3 QUEBEC7AM
We depart our hotel for a deluxe continental breakfast at the Atwater Market. Shopping follows at
this great indoor market. At 9:30AM we depart via the Southern Shore of the St Lawrence for Quebec City.
Before arriving at our hotel we enjoy a light lunch of crepes in the Old Upper City. While our baggage
arrives in our hotel we will enjoy a two hour shopping spree in the lower city. We begin at the “Plains
of Abraham” and walk the ramparts of this old fortress on the hill. Here the British defeated the French and claimed
Canada for the English. We continue our walk down to the old lower city for shopping at the many unique
shops. About 5pm its time to take the “Funicular” to the top of the hill and visit the world
famous “Chateau Frontenance” hotel. We will have an hour to enjoy a drink or an espresso
in the lounge of the Chateau with a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River. We check into our hotel in the old city a
few blocks from the “Chateau” about 7:30PM dinner follows. Overnight- Quebec City, CANADA.
DAY 4 QUEBEC AND ST. ANNE DE BEAUPRE AND EN ROUTE HOME7AM-8AM We enjoy breakfast at our hotel. We then depart about
8:30AM for St. Ann De Beaupre. Here we will visit one of the world’s oldest Catholic Shrines and
partake in a Mass. Also included (depending on time of year) is a visit to the “Cyclorama of Jerusalem”. We continue
our tour back to Quebec City with a lunch stop at the Old Mill for freshly baked bread and a light lunch. We
depart back to either New York or Boston.If not these
cities, you will fly out of Montreal about 6PM. Note:Two extra days can be added to this trip.
An extra day is added in Quebec. After returning from St. Anne de Beaupre about 2PM shopping follows. On
the next day, we coach back to your home town. We can coach as far as Washington DC, Or a 12 hour trip.
Otherwise you will fly out of Montreal after 12N on this day. The other day is added to Montreal.
Instead of coaching up to Quebec City on Day 3, we include a second day of Montreal. Sightseeing
on this day is the Botanical Gardens, The Insectorium and additional shopping at the Villa Marie.
